Chapter 4
The old covered market has forty empty rows, and the city promised them to everybody.
Anton wants ten rows. The Landlord wants rent. Dockside wants its trucks unloading every morning. Dan's crew wants a roof. The city said “sure” to everyone. One meeting, three owners, one market — and whoever Alex backs will send a bill.

Chapter 5
Clubs, fuel and charity galas: the city after dark pays better and lies more.
Night Division raids Yana's “Parent-Teacher Night,” and four grown-up guests need a getaway in a retired school bus. It runs if you believe in it. Then Father Adrian invites Alex to lunch with the rich, and Nina shows him who does the actual work.

Chapter 6
Every promise Alex made on the way up comes due in the same week.
Somebody leaves a gift-wrapped gas can at the market, and the war starts politely. One of Alex's drivers vanishes on a run that looks awfully familiar — and Alex doesn't leave people in the back of trucks. And the garbage-truck question finally gets asked properly.

Chapter 7
Wave Mall goes from a fence and a puddle to a skyline, and Anton has opinions.
Vera has drawings, investors and a hole in the ground at Willow Square, and she wants Alex in. First problems: a parking racket on the lot, a contractor who discovers inflation and old traders standing where the entrance goes. Anton knows every one of them.

Chapter 8
Wave Mall finally opens, and everyone Alex ever did a favor for shows up.
Two thousand guests, eleven journalists, one footballer with giant scissors. It's the biggest night of Alex's life — and the perfect night for somebody to collect. Every choice so far decides who stands beside him. Three endings, none of them lonely.
Three endings.
All of them earned.

Rush City Tourist Board
Welcome to Rush City: one river, several hills, fourteen districts and an avenue that has not moved since it was built. Population: questionable. Parking: impossible. Enjoy your stay, mind the benches, and please return the car you arrived in.
This is the game
The classic bird's-eye view, rebuilt for your phone: a living city at golden hour, cars that drift and crunch, police who actually get out of the car.
Wanted level
One patrol car
They run slower than you. They know it. You know it.
Up to three patrol cars
Still guessing where you are. A witness keeps phoning in hints.
Police SUVs join the hunt
The pros. They track you, sprint like you and never just forget.
Agents in fast black SUVs
Dark suits, darker SUVs, absolutely no sense of humour.
SWAT in heavy armoured vans
Built like a bank vault, somehow quicker than your hatchback. Rude.
The army and a tank, plus everyone else
Six stars. One tank. Zero chill.
Nobody shoots from a moving car — not you, not them. They pull over, get out and come to cuff you. Like the old days.
Build an empire
Buy the kiosk. Then the street. Then the people who thought they owned the street. Thirty businesses, from a newspaper stand to a casino — each one earns, each one gets raided.
Prices from $2,000 to $1,000,000. The Arena? Tens of millions. Bring friends.

Wave Mall
Opening when it opens.
After dark
It spends the same. It just sleeps less.
Velvet
Run the door, the bar and the dance floor. Hit the beat in the rhythm game, or get bounced.
Lucky
Roulette, cards and a house that always wins — until you own the house.
Hearts
Flowers, perfume, terrible jokes. Four people in this city might laugh at them.
Ticker
Real historical prices, funny names. Go long, go short, go broke with leverage.
Rush City FM
Rush City FM is fourteen music stations, RUSH TALK and the police scanner: 210 songs by bands that don't exist, DJs who talk over the intro, ads for things you shouldn't buy, and news that reports your last car chase. Every car comes tuned to its own station, and the stations keep playing while you're away. All the bad advice you need.
